As the founder and sole member (for now) of Buzz, I bring creativity, expertise, and dedication to every project. My career began in digital marketing, where I developed my skills in engagement, brand-building, and audience connection. Today, I use this knowledge to help businesses of all sizes achieve their marketing goals.
Rachel's Story - the Short Version
Foreign Exchange
As a junior in high school, I made the life-changing decision to move across the world to Lecco, Italy, for a school year. That experience truly shaped me into the person I am today. I immersed myself in the culture, learned the language, built lasting relationships, and gained a global perspective that continues to inspire and influence my work.
College Graduate
Graduating from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations was a pivotal moment in my journey. My time there allowed me to refine my skills in communication, media strategy, and digital marketing. The education and experiences I gained laid a solid foundation for my career, making sure I had the tools to succeed. Eat 'em up Cats!
My First "Big Girl Job"
My career took a pivotal turn at Independence Contract Drilling (ICD), where I started as a marketing intern. Just five days in, I was offered a full-time role as their Social Media Specialist. Over the next two years, this position shaped my skills in social media strategy, brand development, and digital marketing, laying the foundation for my career.
Based in West Michigan
In July 2024, I made the exciting move to Grand Rapids, Michigan. (Yes, this is my first Midwestern winter, and yes, it’s been freezing), but the experience has already been incredibly rewarding. I moved here with the goal of broadening my horizons and experiencing life beyond Texas (and Italy), and Michigan has exceeded my expectations so far!
